Outdated You with Lacey Barratt
Alignment is a little bit of a buzzword at the moment. But what does that really mean? It means that we are constantly growing as human beings. And who I was 5 minutes ago or 5 years ago is not who I am now.
I found a lot of my problems were made from an unconscious state of self sabotage by making decisions from an outdated version of myself. So today, I choose to only make decisions as the person who I want to be come. Have a listen to this weeks episode all about alignment and where you are creating from.

What a powerful perspective! Making decisions based on who we are becoming, rather than who we used to be, is truly transformative. I really loved this episode!
This hit way too close to home! I spent years making choices based on who I used to be and wondering why I kept feeling so stuck and resentful. Changing that mindset and actually making decisions as the person you’re trying to become is so empowering, but man is it scary to drop those old safety blankets. Really needed this reminder today, great episode Lacey!!

This article offers excellent insights into personal growth, alignment, and self-awareness. Understanding how our past beliefs influence our current decisions is the first step toward making conscious changes. Thanks for sharing!
I really liked the idea of not making decisions based on an old version of ourselves. We all change with time, but it’s easy to fall back into old habits without noticing. This was a good reminder to check in with ourselves and think about who we want to become.
The idea of alignment highlights how personal growth requires decisions that reflect who we are today. Recognizing outdated patterns can help break self-sabotage and create healthier choices.
The idea of making decisions from an outdated version of yourself is something I hadn’t really considered before. We often keep following plans simply because they made sense at an earlier stage of life, even when our priorities have changed completely. I think the tricky part is noticing when a decision is coming from an old habit rather than what we actually want now. Growth doesnt always mean making a huge change either; sometimes it’s just admitting that an old choice no longer fits who you are today.
I really connected with the idea of outgrowing an older version of yourself. It’s easy to keep making choices based on past habits, even when your priorities have changed. The reminder to create from who you’re becoming is thoughtful and genuinely encouraging.
This truly touched my heart! We often make decisions based on past experiences without giving them much thought. Thank you for the reminder that moving forward means constantly improving oneself and progressing in the right direction.
I think the idea of making choices from an “outdated” version of yourself is something people dont notice enough. Sometimes we keep following old goals or habits simply because they once made sense. I’ve found it useful to pause and ask whether a decision still fits who I am now, instead of automatically repeating what worked before. Growth can change what we actually want, and ignoring that can create problems without us realizing it.
I found the idea of making choices from the person you are becoming especially meaningful. It’s easy to keep following old habits or expectations even after life has changed. The reminder to pause, reassess, and make decisions from a more current sense of self really stood out to me.
